Trunk-or-Treat!

Trick or Treat!  We made a special stop at our neighbors house before heading to our church's Trunk-or-Treat.  "Dorothy" was very excited about the bag of cookies they gave her!

In fact, she wouldn't let go of them, managed to open them in the car, and since I told her she couldn't eat them yet, she stuck her nose in as far as it would go and kept saying, "Mm mm nummy nummy!"

Cute cowardly lion getting a surprise hug!

Showing off his "potato head" pumpkin!  Annalee?  Oh, she was still playing with the bag of cookies in her basket with Toto.

Our front door!

They were a little excited.  Could hardly get them to be still for a picture!

CHEESE!

We picked up our other fun neighbors to head over to Trunk-or-treat!

The kids filled their buckets with candy and then we had hot dog dinner...

...before heading over to the giant slide!

The cowardly lion got a little nervous at the top, so this is how they came down...

Annalee had enough after that and Connor wanted to do a few more rides, so the girls headed to the car.   Little did you know that our borrowed (thank you Fields family!) ruby red slippers were a little big, so Daddy zip-tied them to her feet!   Hahaha - first time in heels.

So sassy.  We had a great night! :)

Laura Gets Her JD

Yesterday I got to see my sister get her law school degree!  Laura was accepted into quite a few law schools, but Wake Forest was the one closest to us.  Connor and I took her up for an accepted students tour, and we were psyched when it was the school she chose to go to!  She has been extremely involved and has worked very hard during the past three years.  We are so proud and can't wait to see what comes next in her life!

Here she is in the processional, with her good friend Lauren getting a pic!

I was actually only able to go to the Hooding Ceremony.  The campus-wide graduation ceremony was today, but the Hooding Ceremony really featured the achievements and awards of the law students, so it was great to see!

Their speaker was the Chief Justice of Ireland (sweet!).

Heading up to be "hooded"!

She did it!  Grinning with the dean.

Laura was not so thrilled when dad and I went up the balcony stairs as the whole graduating class had their picture taken...but it was great! ;)

Where's Waldo Laura?

Hugs!

 The "original six."

Big brother.

A kiss from mom.

Sisters!

 The major supporters. ;)

Brothers!

 Little bro.

 Dan and Alicia!

Golden shoes and toes!

On the Wake Forest seal.

We love you, Laura!  CONGRATULATIONS!  Study hard for that Bar, we know you'll do great!

Sarahann and Jay are the MASTERS

...that is, they got their Masters degrees! :)  We were able to enjoy a couple of days at Liberty with family and friends to celebrate their great accomplishments!

Parents! (S)

Sister! (J)

Family! (J)

Annalee playing with Grandpa during a little down time.

Errr...Connor may have been so excited to see his aunt and uncle walking by that he disrupted their line a bit...sorry, guys!

Ready to receive their diplomas!

Since they are married, they received their diplomas at the same part of graduation, but the speaker did not read Jay's (non-counseling) degree!  SO - he graduated with a Master of Arts in Management Leadership.  Go Jay!

Get that diploma, SA!  Professional Counseling degree!

"We did it!"

Having their professional pic taken together - so cute!

Checking out the turf!

Woowee!

Hurray!  Yes, I made them toss their caps. :)  Congrats guys, we love you and are very proud!
