THANKFUL

I am blogging from Panera right now. If you don't have their rewards card...GO GET ONE! It's free and every time you buy something it is swiped and suddenly you get free things! I haven't been here much lately, but on my birthday I got an e-mail that I had a free pastry added to my card, so I came in to get it today and be on the computer a little bit while Connor is sleeping in his carseat. Good thing I came today, because apparently my pastry expired tomorrow!

Family time took big time priority over blogging in the past couple weeks! The main reason I began to blog was because we wanted to be able to share with our family all of Connor's fun "moments" while we are living far away. It was so great to be surrounded by MUCH of our family last week, and even some fun friends! Connor did celebrate a lot of "firsts":

His first flight!

Here we are going up and down the moving walkways while we sang along to
Billy Joel being played by some dude on the grand piano.

Waiting for take-off.

His first time staying at Marmee and Papa's house!

Meeting Uncle Will. This was a little unreal for me...
sometimes I have moments with Connor when I vividly
remember doing the same things with Will,
since I was almost 11 when he was born!

Smiling and talking with Marmee.

"Fishing Pro in Training" with his Papa (thanks Anne for the sweet outfit!)

Chillin' with Daddy and Uncle Will on the floor.

Visiting with Auntie SAS in the "future rockstar" shirt
and jeans that she and Jay gave to him!

His first time at Summit Church, where his Grandad is the pastor!

Falling asleep with cousin Caroline after church.

Snoozin' with Grandad.

His first wedding and first fireworks!

This is just a preview - many more pictures to come of this big event.

His first snow!

Uncle Will walked him outside for a quick pic in the dusting...
surprisingly no big snows while we were there!

His first time at the TOM Rec Office!

With Kristine!

Peggy putting some muscle into swinging Connor and keeping him happy!

Eric's first time holding a baby. EVER. Good job, Connor! ;)

His first time at Bruegger's Bagel Bakery! (There is one near us, but Manlius is a tradition)

We ran into Miss Caitlin there, YAY!

Aunt Barb got her birthday/Christmas computer, so she can keep up with everyone.

Thanks for serving up the deliciousness, Jay!

His first time on the SU campus!

Wearing his orange and hanging with Karina.

Most importantly, his first time meeting a lot of family and his first THANKSGIVING!

"I'm thankful for: 1. Mom and Dad, 2. Yummy Turkey, 3. Football"
Hehe - thanks for the shirt, Marmee!

Meeting cousin Jill for the first time!

The turkey before the oven. The one on the grill had already sent out
black smoke by then (haha, it was okay!). I made stuffing this year and
I must say, it's much better inside of the turkey than just being baked outside of it!

Happy after a Thanksgiving bath!

Sound asleep with cousin Molly.

Tryptophan? Relaxing with Great Aunt Barb!

Oh hi Uncle Dan!

Didn't you know I was strong enough to punch you in the face? :)

Then some Twichell cousins came by...
Great Aunt Dee and cousin Ashley

Cousin Brando

Cousin Ashley and a creepy hand.
Oh wait, that's Aunt Laura trying to make Connor happy!

Cousin Ryan

Cousin Carly

Gobble Gobble!

This is pretty much Thanksgiving in pictures. We are SO thankful to have had time to go "home" and to be blessed with having amazing family all around us! I'm still waiting on a key few from some other cameras, as well as wanting to write more about a few different things! Keep checking in!

  1. Isn't it wonderful how babies give you perspective. Connor is lucky to have such supportive family and friends all around!
