Student Worship Missions 2011

Jonathan directs a choir of 6th-12th graders at our church and planned a great mission trip for them this summer.  Their missions always include service, evangelism, and (of course) some goooooooood singing!  I didn't catch the band well in any of these photos, but we had an awesome band made up of our middle school youth pastor and 4 of our students.

These students shared a drama (written by Mandy Foster!) with 1000 children 

at our church's vacation bible school, and then took it on the road with us.

I did not take many pictures, but there were lots of people who caught some good ones of our fun time at the beach!  A few people have promised to send me some, so I'll put them up in another post soon.  Credit goes to Kirstyn and Katie Chaney on all of these "beach boy" pics!

The main focus of our trip was to work with a church that our church has been partnering with.  The students slept on the floors of the church, ate in their fellowship hall (with great meals cooked by Sheila and co. in their kitchen) and they scrubbed every inch of the church before we left.  They also provided the worship music for the Sunday morning service (which was so crowded that Connor and I sat in overflow and watched on TV!) and they did their entire program as the Sunday evening service.

He shared it again in all of our morning services yesterday too.

We are pretty blessed to have such a great group of students and a tremendous group of parents/chaperones who get so involved and work so hard to make these trips possible.  Thanks everyone!
