Syracuse Summer Adventures Part II

"Hey everyone!"
Loving life in Marmee and Papa's backyard
with every toy (and chair) I can find!

Best baby buddies - Annalee and Charley!

Big brother standing by.

Wow!  Papa went into his shed of electrical supplies and made a tee for Connor.  At first he was only interested in what he could fit down inside of the tube, but obviously he figured out how to swing and connect!

Greatest grocery store on Earth...WEGMAN'S (1st time for both kiddos!)

One day we headed out to the Carousel Mall.  There is an old carousel stationed there with some of the original horses.  As in, my grandmother used to ride on this carousel in a park in Syracuse when she was a little girl.  So fun!  Another "first" for both babies. :)

Connor wanted to go again so badly when the first ride was over, that Marmee told Laura to hop on and go with him again...

...until he decided he was done...

...halfway through the ride.  Ha!

On one of the last days there, Connor and I trekked down to Papa's treehouse.  It was a rainy day, but we did it anyway!  Connor sat inside for a minute while Papa got the fishing gear out.

Reeling one in!

Focused...

Connor's 1st catch!

"Watch the bread!"  Feeding the fish.

Hiking back out with his Papa.
We also visited the swan pond in town, where the swans and their babies were busy swimming and eating.  I don't seem to have any pictures...Nana?  Grandpa?

The very last day we were there, Karina's sister and sister in laws threw her a wonderful baby shower.  Annalee and I were so excited to get to celebrate with her, especially since the baby will probably be here before we see them next!!!

My guess was for a baby girl...don't you think? :)

On the long drive home, we were blessed to have Aunt Sarahann drive with us while Jay and Savannah, their puppy, followed in their car.

Couldn't keep his eyes open...

...but when he needed to sleep, he played instead!  Stylish in Aunt SAS's new glasses!

We made it to VA after 11 hours...phew!  Connor tried out Uncle Jay's Hulk gloves before settling down for bedtime.  Thanks for driving with us and letting us spend the night, guys!

The next morning we got to see just a few VA friends before heading back home.  I only got one picture with our sweet friend Sara who is expecting a baby boy this fall, and our wonderful friend Lurline!  Love you all!

It was an amazing trip, but also so good to get back to Jonathan and be together again!  We miss all of our NY and VA loves!
